Exclusive hire at Eryldene means guests are most welcome to explore the pathways and hidden corners of the garden. There are innumerable idyllic photographic opportunities to discover amidst our collection of over 1000 rare, beautiful and botanically significant plants.

The Eryldene Garden is an outdoor botanic venue with opportunities for a range of hired marquees on the Lawn Court. Eryldene is ‘dry hire’, which means that clients can select from our range of approved, accredited suppliers to complete their dream wedding.

We will do all we can to help you plan your event and can assist through providing a list of approved caterers, celebrants, musicians, photographers and hire companies.

Our competitive hire fees include a supervising staff member.

Eryldene was a great choice for our wedding. It’s a beautiful outdoor garden to wander in, and has a large flat area we used for our garden party themed wedding. It is a lovely, but little known, historical gem and very convenient to public transport. Our guests and family commented very favorably on all the above.

All the support we got for the Eryldene team was superb and hassle free. They gave great recommendations from celebrant to catering and catering staff which were all excellent. The Eryldene team and their recommendations made planning very easy and also fun.

Eryldene was great for our wedding, and also that it is open on other occasions. We continue to enjoy re-visiting the house and garden, with fond memories, and sharing Eryldene with our children and others at their wonderful Open days and other events.

The Teahouse provides an elegant and dramatic backdrop to your special event.

The Teahouse provides an elegant and dramatic backdrop to your special event.

The Lawn Court at the rear of the house can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people. The adjacent Chinese tea house makes a wonderful backdrop for photos and ceremonies while the arched moon gate provides a striking feature entrance.

The Temple on the front lawn amidst tall trees and old camellias provides a more intimate background for 50 to 80 people.

The Back Lawn by Professor Waterhouse’s garden study, walled fountain and pigeon house is yet another delightful setting for small gatherings.

The front verandah and loggias can be used in the event of wet weather (for small numbers) and hired marquees can be erected on the lawns.

corporate events and workshops

The varied outdoor spaces of Eryldene create an ideal opportunity for Corporate Events and Workshops. Our Lawn Court is perfect for classic garden games, picnics and group activities.

Location Hire (Film, TV)

Photo opportunities abound throughout the garden. Eryldene is often the setting for commercial photo shoots where the front steps, verandah, flagged pathways, moon gate, tea house surrounds garden study and the many meandering paths through old camellias make delightful settings.

Bright colours are a key feature of the garden in the camellia season and when the leaves are starting to take on their autumn colours, while the shady jacarandas provide a needed escape from the heat in summer.

For more information, telephone 9498 2271 or 0422 596 292 and talk to our team -  who will be happy to arrange an inspection or email eryldene@eryldene.org.au

Please note that our volunteers aren’t always in the office - they might be out pruning the camellias - so please leave a voicemail if you don’t get through.
