Eryldene Historic House and Garden is hosting a Camellia Open Day on Sunday in June. Entry tickets allow visitors to stroll the garden at their leisure. Tickets can also be booked to attend one of our guided tours of the House with one of our knowledgeable volunteers. Additionally, special guests, the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, will exhibit modern Ikebana in the house and on the lawn court, including an Ikebana demonstration at 11am and 2pm at the Tea House. A few members of the Ku-ring-gai Art Society will also be plein air painting in the garden.

Eryldene will be holding a special Camellia Open Day on Sunday in July to coincide with the Annual National Camellia Show at Ravenswood School. Additionally, come hear Sing Australia Gordon as they fill the garden with happy sound. A few members of the Ku-ring-gai Art Society will also be plein air painting in the garden. Gates open 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

In August, our volunteer gardeners are keen to host the final Camellia Open Sunday for 2026 and showcase the magnificent beauty of this historic garden at the peak of camellia season.

Additionally, hear the Scottish Fiddlers and be reminded of Eryldene's Scottish heritage. There will be a small display in the house exploring Kilmarnock and Janet Waterhouse’s life in Scotland before her marriage to the Prof.

The Ikebana Workshop will be held in the peaceful and beautiful setting of Eryldene on Saturday, 13th September between 10am and 1pm.

This is a special opportunity for aspiring florists and people interested in Japanese culture. Learn the history and some of the fundamental techniques of this classical Japanese art form and create your own Ikebana floral arrangement to take home.
