This is a rare cultivar of the Camellia japonica ‘Elizabeth Bay’ - believed to be descended from those planted by Alexander Mcleay. It is approximately 75cm in height, in a 20cm pot.

Description: Outteridge, 1962, 1000 Named Camellias in Australia, p.8: Soft rose coloured informal double. Medium size. Flowers mid-season. Originated as a large old plant growing at Elizabeth Bay, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Removed to the grounds of Sydney University by Professor Waterhouse in the late 1940’s.
